Natural TeraHertz - continuing to benefit mankind
The passive TeraHertz sensing technology that ThruVision Systems incorporates within its products was originally developed in
order to quantify the destructive power of CFC gases on the
Earth's ozone layer. The sensor was integrated within UARS
(Upper Atmosphere Research Satellite) and the subsequent results contributed to the implementation of the Montreal
Protocol. ThruVision Systems
has adapted this technology for everyday security applications
ensuring that the detection of objects concealed under clothing
can be done safely without the need for active radiation.
